OUR VISION
We want women to discover beauty and encounter God's love through creativity and relationship.

We want to remind each other that we have been intentionally created in boundless love, we are good and we are beautiful.
WHAT WE DO
The Maker’s Table’ is many things.
It is a table where women can gather to be creative but it is so much more.
It could be St Joseph’s workbench,
Our Lady’s kitchen table,
the Altar at Mass.
It is a place where we are actively involved in gathering courage to become vulnerable in our exploration of trying new things.
All of our senses are engaged.

At the Makers Table, we believe that it is the process that is important. The process of being creative and creating is the moment when we are actually imitating God. The process of painting with watercolours for example, allows us to deliberately choose colours, to recognise beauty, to thoughtfully decide where the brush will next be placed.

Thoughtful, intentional and deliberate (but not rushed) allows an environment where we can communicate with our Creator and become more connected with each other.
OUR COMMUNITY
We may not feel our work is worth framing or mounting on the wall, but this is not the way our Lord would measure our worth.

When we approach the sacrament of reconciliation, the end product is that our Lord always forgives us. However, it is the process that is important. We think about our failings, summon the courage to approach the priest in the sacrament, we articulate our sins and then allow ourselves to be washed in our Lords wisdom and forgiveness ultimately wanting to try better - this is the ‘process’. This is the point when our hearts break open and there is a moment of grace in which our Lord rushes in to fill this barren place with His love.
